Max McLaren is the Regional Vice President and General Manager for Australia and New Zealand of Red Hat – the world’s leading provider of enterprise open-source solutions.
Max has extensive experience in the IT industry, spanning more than three decades. He has been in his current role at Red Hat for 15 years and helped build Red Hat in Australia and New Zealand to the significant business it is today.
Prior to this, Max spent 12 years with IBM and Lotus, most recently as Regional Manager, Small and Medium Business for IBM Software in Australia and New Zealand. Previously, he ran Lotus sales and marketing for IBM Software in Australia and New Zealand, following a similar role for Lotus in South-East Asia and South Asia. This followed his role as Managing Director of Lotus, South Africa.
Before that, he held a number of sales management roles at Lotus in the UK. Prior to joining Lotus, Max held sales roles in the UK at AT&T and Centre-File.
