Property Investors Alliance: Building wealth

The Property Investors Alliance (PIA) is a one-stop-shop for people looking to create a path to financial freedom through the Australian property market.

Property Investors Alliance

Justin Wang is the Founder and Managing Director of The Property Investors Alliance (PIA). His personal journey to success was the inspiration for the business, which seeks to help other Australians down a similar path to financial freedom through property investment.

From China to Australia

Justin came to Australia from China in the 1990s and spent his first years establishing himself in Sydney by working long hours in various jobs just to make ends meet. “Talking to people in my local community, I found this was not uncommon — people are continually concerned about their futures, struggling to navigate a path forward,” he says. “I started looking at my own future and the strong record of property in Sydney market. I started to invest in properties (units) across Sydney, starting out small, I began to accumulate a property portfolio of my own.”

Helping others to build wealth with a streamlined solution

Working for real estate companies in New South Wales gave Justin enough insight to notice there was an appetite to invest in property which was stifled by a lack of understanding and confidence in the market.

I am most proud of the culture and environment we have created for our employees and our clients — our developers and customers

Justin says, “There was a particularly strong distrust of real estate agents. I discovered there were very few people trying to help consumers navigate the property market and I knew I could play a pivotal role. I could be someone who could bring together supply and demand in a way that both sides were equally informed and came away with a positive experience. A win–win strategy.”

This strategy proved a huge success for Justin and PIA, a vertically integrated end-to-end property solutions partner with two unique customer channels: property investors and property developers. PIA’s unique value proposition allows it to streamline the process of purchasing a property, arranging finance, managing settlement of their property, resolving defects and managing the property once it is rented. It is essentially a one-stop-shop for property investment.

By the end of 2015, PIA had hired over 400 staff and achieved its most impressive sales year, turning over AU$1.75 billion.

Justin was the only employee of PIA when he founded the company just over 10 years ago. By the end of 2015, PIA had hired over 400 staff and achieved its most impressive sales year, turning over AU$1.75 billion. Of everything that he has created, Justin says, “I am most proud of the culture and environment we have created for our employees and our clients — our developers and customers”.

Opportunities for property investment in Sydney

PIA operates in a continually changing and challenging property investment market and the company’s knowledgeable staff canvas industry partners and stakeholders to tackle broader issues, such as restrictions foreign investment, investment caps and restrictive lending policies. Justin regularly holds seminars to walk the average person looking to invest in property through the issues. His popular sessions outline why he believes the New South Wales market is still strong: population growth, investment in infrastructure and a robust economy.

“Our business and client relationships are built upon transparency, education and knowledge sharing.  This has served us well over the past decade, and continues to be a core area of focus,” says Justin. PIA achieves this flow of information through its friendly face-to-face service and the ‘My PIA’ IT platform, which allows instant access to real-time information for staff and clients.

Justin says developing PIA’s technology will be the company’s future focus. “We will continue to expand our property investment and technology platform, extending our e-commerce platform.”
