The ultimate weekend away? Whisked away on a luxury yacht in tropical Queensland, of course.

Sanctuary Cove yacht weekend

Picnics on a secluded tropical beach and intimate sunset dinners on board a luxury yacht with your own private chef are the magical experiences you might expect at an exotic island nestled quietly in international waters.

Lucky for those dreaming of an enchanting getaway, Sanctuary Cove is offering the enticing opportunity to those in Australia.

Situated on the country’s idyllic Gold Coast, visiting yacht owners have the chance to live at the height of luxury on their own superb vessels – or perhaps arrange a yacht charter – at the world-class Sanctuary Cove Marina.

Relax in the comfort of your own yacht and take advantage of everything Sanctuary Cove has to offer.

Whether it’s for a week or a day, guests are able to indulge in the utter opulence of the superyacht experience.

Ultimate weekend on board a superyacht

With Sanctuary Cove your moored destination, a world of nautical adventure awaits. Seek a weekend getaway unlike any other by arriving on a Friday afternoon to the picturesque precinct by helicopter.

From there, you will meet your stunning superyacht – as well as your captain and crew – at the marina. After touring the state-of-the-art facility, you’ll be swept away to enjoy sunset cocktails on the deck followed by a gourmet dinner prepared by your private chef aboard the yacht.

After a rejuvenating slumber, hop from private yacht to private helicopter for your three-hour Heli Island Picnic experience. Departing from Sanctuary Cove, enjoy a picturesque flight from the Gold Coast to South Stradbroke Island. At the iconic island, which is famous for its no-car policy, prehistoric forests and sandy shores, you will be treated to an ultimate picnic of fresh produce served by your pilot at a private area of the beach with not a soul around. You’ll then be swept back along the west of the Gold Coast, giving you premium views of the inland waterways.

Once back at Sanctuary Cove, indulge in some R&R to prepare for a spectacular waterfront dinner. Between the precinct’s new restaurants – including Turkish restaurant Nar Ottoman, which is set to open in March 2021; Red Steakhouse; and JoneZ on Food, which offers contemporary cuisine cooked by a Michelin-star awarded chef – there’s a wide selection of mouth-watering delights to choose from.

Start your Sunday with a slow breakfast aboard the superyacht before spending the day with a round of leisurely golf at The Palms, which recently underwent a US$6.7 million reconstruction. Redesigned by renowned golf course architect Ross Watson, the course provides a world-class experience rivalling some of the best in Australia.

And if golf isn’t really your thing, while away the day shopping at Sanctuary Cove Marine Village. With 80 specialty retailers ranging from resort-style fashion to artisanal gifts and home decor, there is a variety of boutiques suited for everyone. You can even book yourself into a personal fashion session with leading stylist Susie McWatt-Forbes.

After a whirlwind 72 hours of tropical relaxation, your final morning will be spent having breakfast at Bistro 19 before your helicopter arrives to take you back to Gold Coast Airport.

Whether you have your own yacht or charter a breathtaking superyacht, experiencing Australia’s east coast makes for an unforgettable experience.
