Tim Nelson has more than 25 years’ experience executing global executive search and talent management solutions across the Asia Pacific region. He joined Korn Ferry as a financial services partner in 1998, specialising in funds and asset management, before launching Korn Ferry’s Futurestep business across Australasia and Asia. He re-joined Korn Ferry’s executive search practice in 2014 to lead the Melbourne Board, CEO and Financial Services practice and, in 2016, he was appointed MD of Korn Ferry Hay Group in Australasia.
Mr Nelson has deep experience in growing businesses. When he was President of Futurestep Asia Pacific, he established the business in 7 countries, led more than 400 employees, and grew revenues to $40m. During this time, he was a member of the Futurestep Global Executive Team, the Korn Ferry Regional Operating Committee and led the launch of Korn Ferry’s Global Strategic Accounts program for APAC in 2006-08.
Mr. Nelson has led a number of Korn Ferry’s global accounts across a range of industries, is passionate about the importance of leadership for growth and the opportunities for businesses in the Asia Pacific region.
Mr Nelson’s early career experience was gained at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) working on engagements across Australia, New Zealand, United States and Asia.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Diploma of Education as well as a Masters of Business Administration (Executive) from the AGSM, University of NSW.
