London prepares for Millennial 20/20 Summit to address the future of retail

Top executives from Google, Amazon, Microsoft and more will gather in London for the third annual Millennial 20/20 Summit – talking all things innovation, technology and creativity.

Founded on the principle that traditional events are broken, Millennial 20/20 is Europe’s only summit focused on fresh thinking and progressive change in the future of retail, marketing and ecommerce.

In a world where personalised digital interaction, convenience and disruption is the norm, consumers have never been more powerful or unpredictable, and this is opening up many new topics of discussion.

Between 13–14 March 2018, more than 200 cross-industry speakers, 60 exhibitors and 3,000 attendees will descend on The Old Truman Brewery in London to discover the latest technologies, innovations, business models and insights that are vital to understanding today’s commerce landscape.

Expected to attend the event this year are executives from the biggest brands of our time – think Amazon, Microsoft, eBay, Google, Airbnb, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Virgin Media and many more.

Immersive exhibition

Millennial 20/20 summits break the mould of traditional exhibitions, creating an interactive experience where attendees are encouraged to learn, network, explore and immerse themselves in what the industries of the future will look like.

More than 60 companies will showcase their latest campaigns and innovations in retail, marketing and ecommerce, showcasing social and video, data, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality, and robotics.
Twelve dedicated industry tracks – including Future Retail, Ecommerce, Breaking China, Food and Beverage, Marketing and Advertising, and Payment and Finance – will ensure visitors are equipped with a comprehensive tool kit for their businesses.

The summit will kick off with opening keynotes from Forbes Europe Editor Alex Wood, discussing how to engage and embrace an audience at scale. This will be followed by MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group CIO Martin Wild, who’ll give insights on pioneering digitisation within bricks-and-mortar stores.

For examples of the high-calibre sessions, M20/20’s YouTube channel is filled with highlights and keynote recordings from the previous two years.

‘Ones to Watch’ Awards

Millennial 20/20’s ‘Ones to Watch’ Awards (MOWA) celebrate companies that are adapting, evolving and innovating to cater for the demands of the modern consumer.

Its six award categories recognise excellence in the market, acknowledge those embracing the evolving the commerce landscape; building new brands, solutions, campaigns, technologies or platforms that are enabling change.
Whether it’s an established brand that’s reinvented itself for the modern age, or a disruptive start-up turning the market on its head, the MOWAs are open to all.

Submit your application before 3 March 2018.

Millennial 20/20 was founded by entrepreneurs Rupa Ganatra and Simon Berger, with the aim of bringing the best of the best in business together in one place to help brands navigate and thrive in the current retail landscape.

“It has never been more important for any consumer related company, brand or retailer to understand their motivations in order to adapt and react,” Simon Berger told Fintech Finance.

Rupa Ganatra said: “We continue to evolve the Millennial 20/20 experience and program year-on-year to cover the freshest thinking, the most immersive showcases, cutting-edge stories, practical insights and real-time case studies.”

If you can’t make it to London in March – never fear – Millennial 20/20 is also taking place in Singapore from 24–25 October 2018, with tickets on sale now.
