If you have sensitive skin and want to combat the visible signs of ageing, then golden8’s skincare and body range might just be what you’re looking for. The Australian brand’s secret is crocodile oil – an age-old substance used to treat skin conditions and improve overall skin health.
The products were developed by Josephine Robson and Darren Sheppard after regular trips to the Northern Territory’s Top End and Tropical North Queensland. It was in both of these places that the duo discovered that crocodile oil has been used for centuries to treat wounds and skin conditions.
Crocodile oil is high in naturally occurring omegas, as well as Oleic and Linoleic acid, peptides and vitamins. Plus, it is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, non-comedogenic and is said to have regenerative effects on the skin. No wonder it has been referred to as a ‘miracle oil’.
When it comes to the name golden8, ‘golden’ refers to the golden sands of the Top End and Tropical North Queensland while the ‘8’ is a nod to the eight pillars of good skin health and the eight ingredients that make up the golden8 Complex found in each product in the range – crocodile oil, jojoba oil, maracuja (or passionfruit seed) oil, olive oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride, vitamin E, vitamin C and vitamin A.
The golden8 Complex helps to stimulate underactive cells; repair and renew the skin; treat conditions such as eczema, rosacea and psoriasis; reduce inflammation and redness; and reduce the visible signs of scars.
