Ray White Marine cruises into a new Melbourne location

To serve Melbourne’s growing mega-yacht market, Ray White Marine has found a new home at the city’s Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Showroom.

Ray White Marine Melbourne launch

Ray White Marine, the largest full-service marine brokerage in Australasia, has taken the next step in its national expansion program by establishing a new office within the exclusive Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Showroom in Melbourne.

Home to the highest number of mega yachts – vessels above 40 metres – owners in the country, Melbourne will play a crucial role in the brand’s future growth and development.

Ray White Marine CEO and co-founder Rick Rodwell says the new office will provide local support for existing luxury yacht clients while also helping to reinforce its business in Sydney, Gold Coast and Auckland.

“Ray White Marine’s Melbourne office will provide the Victorian market with the first sales and service presence of a leading global Euro luxury motor yacht brand as the exclusive Australian and New Zealand distributor for Ferretti Yachts, Pershing and the iconic Riva marque,” Rick explains.

In line with the store opening, the Ferretti Group also announced the launch of the new Riva 50-metre mega-yacht hull, appropriately named Race. Built for an iconic global automotive family identity, the Riva brand stands out as the “Rolls-Royce of the Ocean”.

The move will also expand the company’s marine auction program, allowing more events to be held for buyers and sellers in Melbourne, with the help of Ray White’s expansive real estate network throughout Victoria.

Ray White Marine draws on its base of worldwide industry colleagues to identify, source and survey each vessel, with its specialist brokers often travelling to Europe, Asia or the US to personally inspect recommendations on behalf of their clients.

The business has partnered with luxury European car dealer Zagame Automotive to provide exclusive benefits for its databases along with new clients in Victoria. These will include the opportunity to visualise the latest luxury yacht styling, interior designs, fabrics and finishes on the state-of-the-art AV interactive multimedia display wall in the Rolls-Royce showroom.

“Connoisseurs of high-end luxury motor cars tend to be interested in luxury yachts, and vice versa, so it makes sense to form an association of this nature,” says Bobby Zagame, Founder and Managing Director of Zagame Automotive.

Zagame Automotive specialises in sports and high-performance brands including Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, McLaren, Lamborghini and Pagani Automobili.

“Zagame Automotive, Ferretti Group and Ray White Marine share many synergies as pre-eminent luxury brands in their fields, and Zagame Automotive, like the Ray White Group, is 100 per cent owned by respected and successful Australian families,” Rick explains.

“Our brands represent the best of the best, and our buyer demographics consequently overlap, along with our business philosophies of offering the world’s leading brands with impeccable levels of customer service.”

We sat down with Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce, to discuss why he puts his customers at the top table among the world’s wealthiest.
