Bvlgari reveals bold new collection leading up to Baselworld 2019

Combining iconic Italian design and intricate Swiss horological craftsmanship, Bvlgari’s Pre-Basel 2019 collection is just a hint of what’s to come at this year’s exhibition.

Lvcea Skeleton Tubogas

As one of the world’s largest and most impressive international trade shows, Baselworld 2019 promises a spectacular unveiling of the year’s finest collections from around 700 expert watch and jewellery manufacturers.

With the launch of its Pre-Basel 2019 collection leading up to the exhibition in March, Bvlgari has yet again redefined the foundations of Swiss watchmaking through the combination of bold Italian design and complex Swiss horological craftsmanship.

This year celebrating 135 years, the Roman jeweller has announced exciting updates to the maison’s four main watches that have driven Bvlgari Horlogerie’s growth over the past decade: the iconic Diva, Serpenti, Lvcea and Octo.

“Fusing Italian design with extraordinary Swiss engineering is about creating masterpieces constituting enduring legends,” explains Bvlgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin.

Divas’ Dream

The masterpiece of the Diva collection, the all-new Divas’ Dream Finissima Minute Repeater is the thinnest ever Minute Repeater lady’s movement. Diamonds encircle the deep aventurine dial, which is detailed with a fan-shaped Divas’ Dream charm covered in diamond pavé, and acts as the minute repeater lever.

The feminine and colourful Divas’ Dream Peacock features a real peacock feather on the dial – highlighting Bvlgari’s ongoing effort to deliver unexpected materials and vivid colours in its jewellery and timepieces.

Lvcea

The two new Lvcea Skeleton watches are glamourous reinvigorations of Bvlgari’s most iconic designs. One is set on a Tubogas bracelet, featuring a rose gold bezel, pink cabochon-cut gemstone and diamond details.

With brilliant deep blue hues, the other Lvcea Skeleton comprises a white gold case set with both sapphires and diamonds around the bezel and a deep blue leather band.

Serpenti

An artful blend of rose gold and brown ceramics with a metallic finish, the sleek new Serpenti Spiga is a contemporary take on Bvlgari’s heritage snake brand icon. Similarly, the Serpenti Tubogas features a cabochon cut pink rubellite in the crown and new pave dial to match the steel and rose gold Tubogas bracelet.

Serving as both a watch and structured bracelet, the Serpenti’s sophisticated design and supple wearability will see it remain a staple in Bvlgari’s female timepiece collection for years to come.

Octo

For discerning men, the Octo Grande Sonnerie is the definition of style with substance. Behind the futuristic Octo case and dial are 827 individually hand-crafted components that work in perfect synchronisation to offer a Grande and Petite Sonnerie function, a minute repeater and tourbillon.

Bvlgari continues to deliver innovative engineering solutions without compromising on its quintessential Italian style with the new Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic. Fully dressed in carbon and weighing just 48 grams, this limited edition timepiece is the thinnest of its kind in the world at just 1.95mm thin.
